A Useful Stock Market Principle

Friday, December 18th, 2009

In 1906, an Italian economist named Vilfredo Pareto observed that roughly 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. This observation became known as the Pareto Principle or the 80-20 rule. It is not a hard and fast rule but the principle applies to our lives. In essence, not everything we do is equal. We can observe that large amounts of activity produce limited results. Conversely, we can also observe where small amounts of activity yield great results. This observation might be called the vital few and the trivial many. The key is what does this mean to me.

When it comes to anything, there are tradeoffs. For every YES there is a NO. When we say yes or engage in some type of work or recreation, we are really saying no to other things that we could be doing. The use of the Pareto principle could be used to help lead us to a more productive and profitable life. When I was a counselor in a Rescue Mission, I would challenge my clients to make a list of the areas of life that they needed to work on. For many the list was long. I frequently observed that they would select the trivial many instead of going after the significant few. They would work hard but in the end, they would give up or fail. They would wonder why. I would ask them if they wanted at least a 50-50 chance of success. All agreed. I would then use this illustration. Suppose you had ten items to work at. If the principle applied, it would suggest that 2 items would yield 80% of the overall desired results. It they chose to work on the trivial 8, they would have some return but clearly nothing like selecting the top one or two. In fact, it would yield less than 50%. They could work on 8 and get roughly have a 20-80 chance or work on the most important and have 80-20 chance. Those that selected properly faired much better.

When it comes to stock market education, there is a lot of material. My goal in developing the free stock market course is to present the significant few verses the trivial many. As an introduction, there is a free online stock market course that you can use to help make your choice.

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Which exercises for six pack abs really work? What if you have health problems? How do you choose the right exercises to get the six pack abs that you really want? It can be difficult, particularly with all of the information available out there to understand which exercises you should be doing. Some exercises work, while others may not work for your particular needs, wants, and desires.

Therefore, we have devised 4 tips to help you choose the right exercises for six pack abs.

Tip #1 – Lose Fat

Your exercise regimen should focus on losing fat first. In order to achieve the best results, you must first lose fat. Therefore, start with exercises for six pack abs that help you do just that. This could include lifting weights and cardiovascular exercises. It is important to combine the right diet, with fat loss exercises in order to achieve your desired results.

Tip #2 – Build Muscle

After and during fat loss, you should begin to build muscle. Muscle is the absolute embodiment of six pack abs. Some exercises for six pack abs that help you build muscle may include crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, v-ups, and other muscle training. There are many tools and accessories than can help you get the most of your exercises such as the stability ball or bubbles traditionally used in therapy training.

Tip #3 – Consult With Your Physician

You will never find a professional trainer or exercise program that does not suggest that you consult with your physician first and exercises for six pack abs are no different. Talk with your doctor about your planned exercise program and speak to him or her about their thoughts in regards to safety. If you have health or physical limitations, some of the exercise may not help you, but instead cause you problems first. Your doctor can help guide you in the right direction, while keeping your health and condition in the forefront.

Tip #4 – Have Fun With It

One thing about exercises for six pack abs is that even if you are dedicated, you will find that they quickly and easily become boring. Mix up your routine, add some creativity, and have fun with it. Before long you will start to see results and what is generally called a “work out” can become a “fun out”, you will be excited about it. When you are excited, your dedication is in full force.

Welcome to The Art Of Living Healthy. Art is defined, in this sense, as a learned power of doing something competently acquired by experience, study, or observation. This blog is dedicated to providing quality information and products to everyone.

So many people have become disillusioned with traditional medicine and turned to alternative health options. After watching many friends and relative become discouraged with the results, I became determined to find out why.

The only health store in my hometown was owned by a Mennonite family. The only supplements they would carry was Nature’s Sunshine products, so those were the ones I used. As time went on and I had access to more variety, I began to notice the same lack of results with supplements and equipment I used. This is when I really began looking into the quality, potency, and purity of different product lines.

What I discovered is QUALITY MATTERS. If you want to obtain the desired results from your healthy living program, don’t use inferior quality equipment, supplement with no potency, or products that can add to the problem through lack of purity.

I also discovered that pursuing quality takes an enormous amount of research, time, and effort. I have found it to be well worth the effort, but not everyone has the resources to pursue the search. So I determined to provide easy access to quality information and products to everyone interested in pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

This is the second site of what I hope will be a growing list dedicated to quality info and products. For quality aromatherapy information and products visit The Art Of Aromatherapy.

I hope you will join me in mastering The Art Of Living Healthy.
